#7792-STANDSCHUTZEN VOLKSTURM NCO COLLAR TAB: Single example of the extremely rare collar tab as worn by members of the Tyrol Standschutzen. For the right side collar ( not to be confused with SA rank tabs that were worn on the left ) It is of medium green wool badgecloth having two zinc metal pips that indicate the rank of Zugfuhrer. Although Volksturm tabs are usually in black, the Tyrolian units were raised by the Police and wore the Truppenfarbe of that organization. A reference and image of such a tab can be found on page 31 of the Osprey book “Resistance Warfare”. This collar tab was obtained with item #7791 and is believed to be from the same uniform.
