ENLISTED RANKS BELT AND BUCKLE:
Nice example of the standard belt and buckle set worn by
the enlisted and NCO ranks of the RAD (Labor
Service).
The 1936 pattern
“box” buckle is of one-piece aluminum construction being
marked N&H 37 and complete with leather support
tab. This tab is marked with the full name of the maker
and also dated 1937. The service style belt is of smooth
black leather being complete with leather sizing strap
and aluminum end keeper The belt retains a 1938 makers
stamp and has had the sizing strap period reset to make
the belt smaller. The belt remains very supple with
light age and minor surface wear. The buckle shows minor
wear with some age toning present. Condition II+/III+
