#6290-GERMAN MADE
BADGE FOR THE RED CRESCENT:
Interesting 1930's example of an enamel membership badge
for the Turkish Red Crescent, that nation’s equivalent
of the Red Cross. Measuring just under 1-1/2 inches in
diameter, it is of red , white and black enamel over a
brass colored background with the wording Turkiye
Kizilayi. The reverse is marked to Paulmann &
Crone of Ludenscheid ( This firm made RZM
badges under the number M1/78) with the word
Allemagne (French for Germany) and a three digit
membership number. The badge is missing its pin but
does retain its hinge & catch making replacement
possible. Shows light wear, Condition II- $70.00 |
