SLEEVE RANK INSIGNIAS: Very interesting example of
the immediate postwar German use of leftover materials
to produce household goods. In this case, Oberschutze
rank badges on natural colored and reed green HBT
to produce placemats or table doilies. It consists of
19 unused badges being hand stitched together to form a
10 by 10 inch mat. Shows some wrinkles and light age.
