#11920-LAND CUSTOMS MOUNTAIN CAP: A nice example of the scarce Bergmutze as worn by all ranks of the Zoll-Grenzschutz. The issue style cap is produced from field grey uniform wool having a functional take-down flap. This flap has a reverse lining of dark grey flannel (for insulation purposes) and secures with a single grey painted button. The front has a BeVo flatiwire "T" form Zoll insignia that is tightly zig zag machine applied along with a Heer pattern(as commonly worn) Edelweiss badge on the left flap. The interior has a quilted grey cotton twill lining retaining about 90% of its original but worn sweatband and a size 56 stamping. The cap minor use with age mainly confined to the interior sweatband. Condition II+$795.00
