#10011-WEHRMACHT  FOREIGN VOLUNTEER SHIELD: Unused example of the nationality sleeve shield as worn by foreign volunteers serving with the Wehrmacht. Of the later 1942 pattern, it is in printed construction of black, blue and green ink on red cotton twill. Often these colored cotton backings were chosen as they incorporated one of the main colors of the design, in this case the center portion of the tri-color and the wording. Unissued, it is uncut from its backing with a slight wrinkle and light edge fraying. Condition I-  $SOLD
