#13055-WEHRMACHT COMPASS: Interesting example of a private purchase style compass as commonly carried by Wehrmacht personnel. This larger sized version roughly measures about 3 by 3-1/2 inches and has a black bakelite casing. The round, hinged lid (marked V.Stein) lifts up to reveal a hinged mirror above a small aluminum compass (working) over a clear quadrant. The left edge is ruled for use as a map tool and it is complete with a wrist cord of black cotton. The compass overall shows surface wear & age, a nice addition to a map case in Condition II- $95.00
