#8015-WEHRMACHT FUR OVERCOAT
Scare example of the heavy fur lined overcoat that was
issued to drivers and sentries for use in very cold
climates.The long coat (would go past the knees of the
wearer) is produced from white, shaggy sheepskin having
a white suede exterior. The outside front closes with
three wooden toggle buttons and has two lower hip
pockets with the same type of buttons. All edges and
buttons are reinforced with white leather. It has a wide
collar and attached large hood produced of heavy white
cotton cloth. The interior pocketbag is nicely marked
with issue and maker’s stampings. This type of coat was
often favored by Officers in winter, a coat like this
can be seen in wear by General Heinrici on page
232 of volume 1-“Uniforms & Traditions” by Angolia. The
coat shows some use having a few snags, light areas of
soiling and some age toning. Condition II- $450.00
