It is of brown bakelite and measures 3-1/2 inches tall by 4 inches wide. The lid is embossed Kart. Vorl. L.F.H 16/18 to denote the model 16/18 Leichte Feldhaubitze (light field howitzer). The interior of both have an embossed date of 1939 and makers marking of 93 (Porzellan fabrik Bernhardschütte-Blechhamer) remains clean with some minor spots of wear and light soiling.
