#10479-S.A. SERVICE BREECHES:
Outstanding, unissued example pair of breeches as used
by both enlisted and officer ranks with the wool SA
service uniform. These “off the rack” breeches were of
mass production and could be privately purchased or
issued through SA channels. They are of golden brown
uniform wool having two front pockets, one rear pocket
and a watch pocket with fob loop. All pockets are
flapped and complete with matching brown buttons. They
have cloth adjustment straps at the sides and tapered
calves that secure with cloth ties. The waist is
complete with brace buttons (matching
those on the pockets)
of brown composition. The interior has a partial quilted
lining and pocketbags of grey cotton twill. It is
complete with a size stamping (48) and a machine sewn
RZM tag on the rear pocket bag. This unused pair
remains clean with only a few minor snags and some light
soiling to portions of the interior. A hard to find pair
of breeches that would complement any SA uniform.
