#11834-S.A. BREADBAG:
A real fine example of an early period breadbag as
utilized by S.A. personnel. It is produced of
medium brown cotton canvas having two buttoned belt
loops and a center-stabilizing strap. The left belt loop
is reinforced with leather to support the water bottle
when attached to the metal ring and leather loop on the
exterior flap. The majority of the metal parts have a
brass wash that would be well matched to the finish of
an S.A. belt buckle. The interior has a divided
compartment with large center strap of brown leather
with brass finished button. The stitched outline of what
I assume was an RZM tag is visible on the
interior. The underside of the flap has two retaining
straps but their attachment buttons are neatly removed
(I will provide replacements to the buyer) One of the
shoulder strap attachment rings on the reverse is
missing as well. Shows light age but remains solid and
reasonably clean. One of the nicest S.A.
breadbags I’ve had, Condition II+ $95.00 |
