#10767-REICHSPOST VISOR CAP:
Fine, wartime example of the service cap worn by
personnel of the German National Postal Service (Reichspost).
It is produced of dark blue uniform wool having vent
grommets at each side (Typical for caps that were worn
for daily service) The cap band is of black velvet and
the piping is of bright orange wool It has the larger
pattern state service eagle in zinc and Reichspost
pattern wreath in aluminum finish above a chinstrap of
black artificial leather.The interior exhibits typical
civil service construction with the upper panel lining
in grey rayon and the exposed sides produced of ribbed
canvas. It is complete with full sweatband of brown
oilcloth (has edge wear) with most of the cello diamond
missing. It does retain a stamped acceptance marking
that is dated 1942. Shows use with surface wear, age to
the leather and some scattered moth nips to the wool
