#13195-REICHSHEER TRANSITIONAL PIONEER NCO VISOR
CAP:
Nice example of a Reichsheer issue visor cap as
worn by a Pioneer EM/NCO into the early Wehrmacht
period. The teller form cap is produced of field grey
wool trikot having a band of field grey wool
badgecloth & black wool piping. The front has a nicely
matched set of first pattern Heer insignia in
stamped aluminum and above a slide buckle chinstrap of
thick black leather, The interior is lined in brown
cotton cloth having a full sweatband of brown leather.
The lining lacks its original cello diamond with the
stitched outline remaining. It has several stampings
including what appears to be a 1929 date, a clothing
grade mark and marking of the 3rd. pioneer battalion.
The cap shows age with light wear and a couple of small
period stitched repairs to the top crown. A desirable
and hard to find example in condition II- $650.00 |
