BOARDS:
Nice example pair of boards as in use during the
transitional Reichsheer/Heer period, circa 1934.
The sew-in boards are of subdued matte braid (off white
color) over an underlay of white wool badgecloth. The
twin gilt pips and numeral 2 are in the ornate,
gilted style typical of the Reichsheer and denote
a Hauptmann serving in the old 2nd.
Infantry regiment (11th Infantry Division).
The boards have been on a uniform and show light age and
