#12321-IMPERIAL
PRUSSIAN PRE WW1 ENLISTED RANKS BELT AND BUCKLE:
Nice example set of
the issue belt and buckle combination as worn by the
enlisted and NCO ranks of the Prussian army. The “box”
pattern buckle is of two-piece, stamped steel
construction with the brass plating polished off except
on the roundel. This leaves the buckle with a
mirror-like, nickel looking finish. The unmarked reverse
is complete with keeper and prong showing some patches
of rust. The thick belt is of smooth, brown cowhide
leather measuring 35 inches in length. It is complete
with steel end keeper and leather sizing strap. The end
of the belt has an additional set of tapped holes, no
doubt done to increase its size. The belt remains supple
with some light areas of surface wear & minor blemishes.
