#11285-POLICE MOUNTAIN CAP: Interesting, wartime private purchase example of the Bergmutze  as used by various formations of the Police. The cap is produced of Police green uniform wool having a low cut functional front flap secured by a single grey green wood button. The  hand applied insignia consists of a BeVo woven Police eagle(applied in trapezoidal style) and machine embroidered national kokarde.  The interior has a mixed lining of two different shades of grey-green rayon cloth with partial front sweatband of grey leather and stamped size 56-1/2 size marking. The cap shows light use with the eagle insignia having 4 retacked stitches to the corner (upper left) some minor soiling to the lining and a split to the partial sweatband.
