#12916-LUFTWAFFE LEATHER WINTER FLIGHT JACKET: Fine example of the heavy weight winter flight jacket as worn by Luftwaffe pilots & flight crews. It is produced of blue-grey suede leather having exterior seam bindings of grey HBT tape. The jacket has a wide collar of artificial brown fur having that secures with a double snap leather strap with loop. The front has a working zipper complete with leather pull tab along with a large pocket on the left side with exterior leather strap for securing an oxygen hose. It has a snap close waist and zippered cuffs with snap secured tabs & leather pulls. Both cuffs have a wind resistant interior of brown cotton with an elastic band & snap closure. The interior has a full, thick lining of white sheepskin that has an interior waist belt of tan HBT cloth with aluminum buckles. It does retain its original machine applied clothing label but sadly it is faded out and hard to read. The jacket over all is in exceptional condition, complete with all components and free of the tears and repairs almost always encountered with jackets of this type. Shows only minor age, being a wonderful piece of aviation history in Condition II+ $1395.00
