#10460-LUFTWAFFE  GROUND ASSAULT BADGE: Used example of this Luftwaffe badge awarded to ground combat personnel. It is of two piece, die struck construction in zinc alloy having a rivet attached eagle in bright silver finish. Traces of the burnishing are visible on the cloud & lightning bolt with the wreath oxidized to a grey tone. The unmarked reverse has a thin magnetic pin attached to a wide soldered plate hinge with lower soldered plate catch. This reverse exhibits sections of the original silvered finish.
