#11122-LUFTWAFFE FLAK OFFICERS SERVICE TUNIC:
Fine example of a wartime, private purchase Tuchrock
as worn by an Oberleutnant of Flak
artillery. The open collar tunic is produced of fine
blue-grey wool trikot having a four (solid)
button front, roll cuffs and upper & lower pleated
pockets. The collar has Officers aluminum cord piping
and machine sewn Oberleutnant bullion tabs
corresponding to its sewn in shoulder boards. These
boards are of bright aluminum braid having a single gilt
pip over an underlay of red wool badgecloth. It is
completed by its 2nd. Pattern bullion
Luftwaffe eagle that is finely hand applied above
the right breast pocket. The left breast has sets of
braided loops for a ribbon bar and one award (most
likely being a Flak badge) on the pocket. Its
well-appointed interior is fully lined with grey rayon
cloth having pin stripped artificial silk within its
sleeves. This interior has an inner cloth waist belt
with nickel buckle, edged weapons support strap with
slot and inside pocket. This pocket retains a machine
sewn tailors label with name of the original owner and
1943 date. The tunic is clean with minor age, a small
snag on the lapel and a few very tiny snags here and
there. Note: I have some Officers quality
breeches that are not listed on the site but can be
purchased separately for display with this tunic.
