#11616-LUFTWAFFE RUCKSACK: Nice, clean example of a later war Rucksack as used by Luftwaffe personnel. In the so called "Artillery" or "Bicycle" pattern, it is produced from blue-grey canvas sailcloth. The flap closes with a black leather strap and is in a slightly different shade of canvas, demonstrating wartime ersatz construction. The interior has a button secured compartment along with a drawstring closed top with its original cord. The exterior reverse has a black leather spine with embossed RBN number & 1944 date. This style has four "D" rings and was worn attached directly to the "Y" straps. The rucksack shows use but remains very clean, having a period seam repair and some stitch lines. Luftwaffe examples of this style are not common. Condition II+ $95.00
