#13146-LUFTSCHUTZ FIRE EXTINGUISHER TUBE: Interesting example of a fire extinguisher tube as issued by the Luftschutz for emergency use during air raids. The tube measures 18 inches in length from tip to closed handle. It is of steel construction with the tube retaining about 95% of its original grey enamel finish with Luftschutz marking and the tip and grip retaining about 75% of its black paint. This tip of the extinguisher is removable to allow it to be filled with dry chemicals which are discharged by pushing the upper plunger.
