#11727-COASTAL ARTILLERY M44 NCO SHOULDER STRAPS: Scarce and interesting 1944 pattern shoulder straps as worn by an Unteroffizier of the Marine Artillery. In the slip-on style, they are produced in the traditional “pointed” style of field grey wool having a machine sewn, three quarter tresse in gold cello. The single layer construction is reinforced on the edges by a black, rayon twill tape that also serves as a piping ( The Marine artillery did have a engineering branch using black Waffenfarbe) This same twill tape is also used on the reverse center to reinforce the buttonholes.
