#10710-KRIEGSMARINE  OFFICERS DAGGER WITH HANGERS AND ORIGINAL BELT: A great combination set that appears to have always been together. The Kriegsmarine dagger is a second model type by E.F. Horster that retains most of its gilt finish to the brass hilt, crossguard & pommel sections. The grip is off-white in color and complete with a tightly wrapped gilt wire. The sharp pointed blade is double etched with a frosted naval motif and clean with some minor scratches. It is complete with Horster logo and thin leather washer. The scabbard is in the “lightning” pattern with nicely patterned lower leaves. It has both suspension rings with triple serrated eyelets as well as both of the throat screws. The scabbard shows some age toning, areas of patina, light wear and a minor surface dent to the upper reverse portion. The hangers are of the early type having fittings of gilted brass and complete with chain. The straps are of black ribbed moiré with reverses of thick black velvet showing minor wear and age. It is complete with its original under tunic suspension belt of cornflower blue webbing with leather buckle, strap and suspension rings. Shows wear and areas of soiling.
