#10383-KRIEGSMARINE NCO DRESS JACKET:
Early quality, short jacket as worn by lower NCO ranks
of the Kriegsmarine, mainly as a parade and
walking out dress. It is produced of navy blue uniform
wool having a false double-breasted front with rows of
nine gilt anchor buttons. The lower sleeves have a
five-button panel and metallic gilt tresse
denoting junior NCO status. It has an Officers quality
breast eagle of gilt wire and a gilt metal boatswain
career badge, both being nicely hand applied. The jacket
is complete with its buttoned front chain, which is
frequently missing. The interior has a full lining of
black rayon cloth with pinstriped white silk within its
sleeves. It has two inside pockets along with nicely
hand embroidered laundry numbers and the woven nametag
of the original owner. The jacket shows only minor wear
with age toning to the insignia & tresse and a
small tear to the lining. Condition II- $595.00
