#13381-KRIEGSMARINE MINE SWEEPER BADGE: Impressive example of an extra clean Minesweeper war badge as issued to Kriegsmarine personnel of Minesweepers and related escort vessels. The badge is of tombac construction retaining an incredible 95% of the gilt finish and grey burnishing to the front. The reverse is complete with hinged, tapered pin and catch. The bottom portion retains nicely embossed markings for the design firm of Otto Placek and maker Schwerin. The front of the badge remains clean with a few minor spots of age and the reverse showing  minor patina & tiny surface imperfections as common to this type of metal alloy.
