#11703-LUFTWAFFE / KRIEGSMARINE  FLAK  ARTILLERY BADGE: Rare, variant example of the second pattern (1937) Luftwaffe pattern badge as awarded to qualified enlisted and NCO personnel of the anti-aircraft (flak) barges. It is of gold machine embroidery on an oval backing of navy blue wool. A similar badge is shown on page 213 of  “Defending The Reich” by Littlejohn. This example shows light wear with some fraying to its edges. Condition II+
