KNIVES:
Good examples of the private purchase
style "trench" or fighting knives that were carried by
German soldiers in WW1 and into WW2. Both are of 11
inches long with wooden handles and black painted steel
tube scabbards.
A.
Imperial Fighting Knife:
The grooved wooden handle has three large rivets (has a
chip at the rear top) Single edge blade with crown
marking remains clean. Retains about 70% black scabbard
finish along with leather loop and snap closed strap.

Imperial Fighting Knife:
Grooved wooden handle with two rivets with bayonet style
crossguard that allowed it to be affixed as a K98
bayonet. Doubled edged tipped blade is clean with
DEMAG maker and crown markings. Retains about 85%
black scabbard finish with remains of leather loop
