#12721-HEER PIONEER STANDARD BEARERS SLEEVE SHIELD: Interesting, worn example of the sleeve shield as typically worn by the "top" man in the unit who carried the unit color. In this case for a Pioneer unit, the badge measures roughly 4" high by 3-3/4" wide. It is of machine woven construction (BeVo) in aluminum flatwire and black & white rayon thread on a dark green backing. The shield is folded and shows evidence of use, having some surface wear & minor soiling.  About 1" of the upper left edge has very minor fraying from where it was removed but it does not detract. A scarce and desirable example in Condition II- $1200.00
