#7553-HEER MOUNTAIN TROOPS NCO VISOR CAP: Nice example of an issue visor cap as worn by enlisted and NCO ranks serving in Gebirgsjaeger formations. It is produced of field grey wool trikot having a dark green wool band & bright grass green wool piping. The front is complete with second pattern, aluminum Heer eagle & wreath along with an aluminum finished Edelweiss tradition badge in the center above a chinstrap of black patent leather. The interior has the standard rust brown cotton lining with full original brown leather sweatband being maker marked &dated on the reverse. Only a small portion of the cello sweat diamond remains along with a stamped size 55 marking. The cap shows use and some signs of age. These include a few small pinheads & areas of wear along with soiling and age to the interior.  Desirable piping color remaining in a solid Condition II- $725.00
