#6794-HEER PANZER OFFICERS VISOR CAP:
Fine example of an early war, private purchase visor cap
as worn by a Heer Panzer Officer. It is produced
of field grey wool doeskin with a dark green wool band
and Rosa (pink) wool piping. The front has a
nicely matched set of bright aluminum insignia above a
thick aluminum chincord that has it two slides tacked
into place. The interior is well appointed with a dark
grey rayon lining, matching grey leather sweatband and
grey painted visor underside. It is complete with a
small, marked cello diamond that sadly has most of the
vendors name oxidized. The sweatband retains an embossed
makers marking that is also oxidized, but readable. The
cap shows wear and age with a couple of tiny pinheads to
the piping, several areas of nap wear (mainly to the
top) and soiling to the interior. Nonetheless, a fine
example in this very desirable Waffenfarbe.
