#12291-HEER PANZER OFFICERS M38 FIELD CAP: A nice, private purchase example of the Heer "new" pattern field cap as worn by a Panzer Officer. It is produced of a lighter toned, field grey wool doeskin having woven aluminum piping on the crown and front flap. The front has Officers grade insignia consisting of a BeVo flatwire, M36 style eagle, aluminum bullion Kokarde and inverted pink soutace-all being nicely hand applied. The correctly unmarked interior has a full lining of grey rayon with partial front sweatband of brown leather embossed "Qualitaes Marke" that has a small split. The cap remains in sound condition showing use with surface wear, a couple of tiny moth nips (behind the flap) a small area of soiling at the rear and sweat stains to the lining. Condition II- $925.00
