INFANTRY NCO VISOR CAP:
Outstanding example of a private purchase visor cap as
worn by enlisted and NCO ranks with the dress uniform.
This low saddled, Officers quality cap has a top of
field grey wool doeskin with a dark green wool band and
white wool piping. The front has a matched set of 2nd.
Pattern Heer insignia in bright aluminum above a
black patent leather chinstrap. The interior has a full
lining of dark gold colored, ribbed artificial silk
lacking its cello diamond, the stitched outline of which
is still visible. It retains a full, deluxe ventilated
sweatband of brown leather having a black velvet edging
and white closure bow at the rear. The cap shows light
wear with minor toning to the otherwise clean exterior
and one pinhead nip to the rear band. The interior also
shows light wear and some minor soiling. A high-class
example that would complete a Waffenrock tunic.
