#10939-HEER MEDICAL OFFICER CANDIDATE LIGHTWEIGHT M36 TUNIC: An Interesting, private purchase tunic as worn in warmer weather & climates. Produced of a “Continental” shade of grey green cotton cloth in the M36 pattern. It has a five-button front, dark green wool collar, pleated pockets with scalloped flaps and roll cuffs. Although technically ranked as a Feldwebel, the tunic has specific details that denote the wearer as an Officer candidate close to promotion. These details include an Officer’s wide collar with machine sewn Officers aluminum wire collar tabs, an Officers quality breast eagle and loops on the shoulder straps. These sew in straps are of the M36 pattern being of dark green wool with full aluminum tresse and cornflower blue rayon piping. They have a bright aluminum caduceus cypher, pip and a slightly unusually loop of gilt soutace denoting Officer candidate status. The tunic has no award loops, which is actually common for medical personnel. Its interior is correctly unlined having a sewn in neck liner of rayon cloth, shoulder pads and an edged weapons support strap w/crude pocket slit. The tunic remains clean with minor age and a few tiny areas of staining. Condition II+
