#12757-HEER ENLISTED RANKS M42 OVERSEAS CAP: Nice example of the standard, M42 pattern overseas cap as issued to Heer enlisted & NCO ranks. It is produced from field grey uniform wool having a functional front flap with two grey painted pebbled buttons and grey painted vent grommets at each side. The front has a standard BeVo trapezoid that is hand applied and well compressed and worn into the wool suggesting it is original to the cap. The interior has a full lining of grey cotton twill that is complete with stamped maker, size and 1942 markings. Shows light use and age with areas of minor surface wear. A fairly scarce example as this pattern was only Issued for less than 1 year. Condition II- $450.00
