#12754-HEER
INFANTRY OFFICERS VISOR CAP:
Fine example of an early period, private purchase visor
cap as worn by a Heer Infantry Officer. The
nicely saddled cap is of field grey doeskin wool with a
dark green wool band and white wool piping. The front
has a nice set of bright aluminum 2nd pattern insignia
above a silver content chincord (shows light age tone)
secured by aluminum pebble buttons. The high class
interior is fully lined with gold rayon cloth with a
full sweatband of brown leather with a black velvet
edge. It is complete with a full Pekuro marked
cello diamond, having the impression (the silver ink is
gone) of the original distributor and the hand written
paper label of the original owner. This same owner's
name is also neatly punched into the leather sweatband.
This striking cap remains in
nice shape with a few minor moth tracks near the top and
light overall age. Condition II+ $795.00 |
