#8316-HEER
INFANTRY
NCO VISOR CAP:
Nice example of the standard issue visor cap as worn by
a Heer
Infantry NCO. In the teller form, it has the distinctive
"pinch" and crown wire removed as typically associated
with NCO wear. It is produced of field grey wool
trikot having a dark green wool band and white wool
piping. The front has a nicely matched set of Heer
2nd pattern insignia in matte aluminum above a chinstrap
of black patent leather having rounded Luftwaffe
style buckles. The beautifully matched interior has a
lining of rust colored chintz with a plain cello diamond
(size marked 56) brown visor underside and brown leather
sweatband. The underside of the sweatband is nicely
marked to Infantry Regiment 118 along with a "1"
clothing grade (dress) stamping. The cap shows light use
& age, having a few moth nips (mainly hidden under the
rear fold) and some light soiling to the supple
sweatband. Condition II+ $550.00 |
