#6252-HEER INFANTRY OFFICERS VISOR CAP: Nice example of a pre / early  war, private purchase visor cap as worn by a Heer Infantry Officer. The  saddled cap is of field grey doeskin wool having a dark green wool band and white wool piping. The front has a nice set of  aluminum 2nd pattern insignia above an aluminum Officers chincord  secured by aluminum pebble buttons. The nicely appointed interior is fully lined with gold rayon cloth having a full sweatband of brown leather. It is complete with a full maker marked cello diamond, with a readable impression and printed paper name/unit label of the original owner. The cap shows some degree of use and age, having surface wear to the exterior along with some toning to various sections of the piping. the interior also shows some wear and moisture stains. overall a sharp looking cap in solid condition II- $750.00
