#12299-HEER GEBIRGSJAEGER M40 NCO SHOULDER STRAPS: Fine and desirable example of M40 straps for a Heer Mountain Troops Unterfeldwebel. This early production pair is of field grey wool having bright aluminum tresse and grass green rayon piping. They are of the sew-in type, having a thin internal gauze stiffener and a non-ersatz reverse of one piece field grey wool. The straps were more than likely for a walking out tunic or coat, they appear unused with no evidence of devices.
