The private purchase, Officer’s quality cap is produced in the standard M38 style of the correct stone grey wool trikot. Its deep upper crease and front scallops are piped in woven aluminum cord to denote leaders rank. The lower front flap has an Officers quality, BeVo flatwire on dark green eagle (both black & green backed eagles were used on these) that is machine applied. The interior is lined with black cotton gauze and has a partial front sweatband of grey presstoff . The cap is unissued and still retains a paper size tag attached to the rear flap. Remains clean and unworn with only minor age and a few small snags to the interior lining. A very scarce example, Condition I- $895.00
