#10564-HEER CAVALRY OFFICERS UNIFORM SET:
Outstanding wartime example uniform consisting of tunic
and riding breeches. The private purchase tunic is cut
in the M36 pattern of service quality, field grey wool.
It has a dark green wool collar, pleated pockets; roll
cuffs and a six button front common to post 1941 tunics.
It has a nice set of aluminum bullion Officers collar
tabs that are finely hand applied and corresponding to
its shoulder boards. The sewn-in Rittmeister
(Hauptmann) boards are of subdued aluminum braid over a
base of golden wool badgecloth with gilt pips & first
pattern numeral “7”. The interior has a full lining of
grey rayon blended cloth with white silk lined sleeves.
The interior is complete with an inside pocket and edged
weapons support strap having a metal clip & leather
lined slot.
The breeches are produced of service quality field
grey wool, corresponding to their 1940 markings. They
have two button close slanted pockets and a slit watch
pocket with ring on the front. The split rear has a
large cloth sizing belt and single button close pocket.
Its seat and inside legs are nicely reinforced with dark
grey suede, a feature that was later discontinued in
1940. The tapered legs have lower calves that secure
with three buttons. The interior has a partial lining
and pocketbags of various, but matching white cotton
cloth. It is complete with aluminum brace buttons and
nice depot & maker’s markings. The exterior of the
breeches still retain threads from its original issue
tag.
One of the best Officers sets I have had in a long
time,It shows little wear and only minor age to its
