Fine example of this Mountain Troops traditions badge as
worn on the side of the Bergmutze.. It is of
stamped metal having a gilted center and tack stitched
onto a die-cut backing of dark green wool. This is the
style usually seen on private purchase caps and is also
associated with units based in Austria. Off a cap, it
shows light fraying to the edges and age toning.
