4 YEAR SERVICE MEDAL ON PARADE MOUNT:
Nice example of the
1936 pattern service medal as awarded for four years of
service in the Wehrmacht. The medal is of
die-struck steel retaining about 90% of its original
silver finish. It is attached to a steel based mount of
plaited cornflower blue ribbon with Heer eagle
device. The reverse is complete with long pin and catch
and protective backing of dark green wool badgecloth.
Shows overall light age tonic with spots of oxidation to
