#7759-REICHSBAHN EMPLOYEE SHOULDER STRAPS: Early period shoulder straps as worn by the dual railroad ranks of Arbeiter & Beamtenanwarter. These are rather unique to the Reichsbahn as these lower pay groups utilized a cloth shoulder strap rather than braided shoulder board. The interesting construction consists of a bottom section of red wool felt having a thin buckram insert. Over this a top panel of blue wool is machine applied with the finished combination receiving a buttonhole. Each has a separately machine applied section of the correct pattern of gold cello tresse. The straps show minor use with some wear spots confined to the bottom reverse. Condition II- $35.00 Pr.
