#8353-NATIONAL POSTAL TUNIC:
Scarce example of the service jacket as worn by a lower
level Official of the Reichspost. The later war
period Joppe is produced from rough, dark blue
uniform wool having an open collar, four-button front,
upper pleated & lower slash pockets. Its machine sewn
insignia consists of a Reichspost sleeve eagle
(In later
war shield style)
and dark blue velvet tabs with orange wool piping. These
tabs denote the rank of Hilfs-Postschaffner. The
interior of the jacket is fully lined with grey rayon
HBT cloth with one interior pocket. The jacket shows use
with areas of wear, age toning and some pulls to the
upper piping of the collar tabs. Condition III+
