#12045-WEHRMACHT AUSTRIAN ANNEXATION MEDAL WITH CASE: Fine example of the commemorative medal awarded to participants in the 1938 Anschluss with Austria. The medal is die-struck in alloy retaining about 90% of its original silver plating. It is complete with red, black & white folded rayon ribbon and suspension ring marked L58 . The hinged box has a grained, maroon covering with gilt national eagle on its lid. The underside of this lid has a padded white rayon lining with a red velvet lined compartment below. The medal shows some patina along with light fading to the ribbon. The box shows light surface wear and a worn spot to the lid lining. Condition II- $175.00
