POLICE NCO VISOR CAP:
Wartime period
example of the visor cap worn by the NCO members of the
Gendarmerie (rural) Police. This private purchase
cap is of the "budget" type being in the standard
Klappform pattern. It has a crown of “Police” green
wool and band of dark brown wool with orange wool
piping. The Insignia consists of a zinc 2nd.
Model enlisted style Police eagle and simple national
Kokarde. Its front has an enlisted style chinstrap
in black patent leather resting above a black
vulkanfiber visor. The cap interior has a mixed lining
of rust colored cotton gauze with an upper panel of
brown impregnated cloth. It retains a full cello
Robert Lubstein marked diamond and sweatband of
brown presstoff. The cap shows some minor wear
and age, having some crazing to the chinstrap, a few
tiny splits on the sweatband and areas of soiling around
the sides of the gauze lining. Condition II- $645.00 |
