#7144-FIRE POLICE SLEEVE EAGLE:
Interesting example of a Fire service sleeve eagle, cut
off a tunic sleeve with a portion of the uniform cloth
still attached. The oval badge measures 4-1/4 inches
tall and is of fine machine embroidered carmine pink
thread on dark blue wool. For the Hessian town of
Dillenburg, the badge was hand sewn and is still
attached to an equal section of dark blue uniform wool.
There is a torn section to the upper right top to both
the badge and its underlying cloth, apparently from when
it was cut off. Remains an interesting example, showing
light wear & age, Condition II- $95.00 |
