STANDARD UNIT PATCH:
Nice example of the
unit lozenge as displayed in the upper corner of DAF
(Deutsche Arbeits front) standards. It measures
8-1/4 by 6-1/2 inches is of light brown wool badgecloth
having a light blue wool border denoting Orts
level affiliation. The white machine embroidery denotes
the name of the town, Duren and factory number of
"1". The city of Duren was completely destroyed
by allied bombing in November of 1944 and was later the
location of the U.S. crossing of the Ruhr in 1945. It
shows some age, having toning and some areas of minor
