#10597-D.A.F. FIRST PATTERN OVERSEAS CAP:
Rarely encountered example of the first pattern, model
1935 overseas cap worn by members of the Deutsche
Arbeits Front. In the political Lagermutze
style, it is produced of dark blue uniform wool having
simulated piping around its crown. The front has the
standard flatwire DAF eagle, a hand applied
period upgrade in place of the prescribed metal DAF
cogwheel. The lower flap is complete with both lightly
pebbled RZM buttons. The interior is lined with
grey cotton twill and is complete with a large (early)
machine sewn oilcloth RZM tag. The cap shows
minor wear with some soiling to the interior lining and
light damage to the RZM tag. Condition II+ $295.00 |
