OFFICERS TROPICAL TUNIC:
Pre-war pattern lightweight tropical tunic is produced
of medium weight tan cotton twill. It has a stand up
collar, six-button front and four pleated patch
pockets with flaps. The removable buttons, in painted
tropical color are an upgrade from the prescribed gilt
buttons. It has the correct, slip-in “T” form
boards of silver braid on a black wool base with the
single pip of an Oberleutnant and held in place
by sewn on buttons. The right breast has a set of
braided loops that hold the pin backed, gilt eagle of
die-forged construction. The tunic is correctly
unlined and retains what appears to be the laundry
number of the original wearer. Shows light wear and
some age toning to its shoulder boards. A nice early
example in II- $650.00
